Sacred Tomb of Tabduk Emre - Yunus Emre and Carullah bin Süleyman Mosque

Emre village is founded next to the Sandal Divlit lava flow. The village is a religiously sacred place due to the tombs of infamous Turkish poet and Sufi mystic Yunus Emre and his teacher Tabduk Emre.

Kula hosts many historical mosques which are dating back to XV. Eski Cami, Soğuk Kuyu Cami, Hacı Abdurrahman Cami, Necip Cami, Paşa Cami and Kurşunlu Cami are the most famous. Kurşunlu Mosque is one of the oldest, built by Hoca Seyfettin during 1496’s.

The Caurullah bin Süleyman mosque was built by Carullah bin Süleyman during 1547-1548. The famous Islam Sufis Tabduk Emre and Yunus Emre who has their tombs in the same village also used the mosque. What make unique this mosque is the wall paintings which includes many still-life figures including apartments, piano city portraits which are uncommon in Islamic motives.
