Ancient Kollyda (Gölde) Village architecture and Cisterns

Gölde village is a unique hotspot where Geology, history, culture, architecture, and archaeology intersect and interacts. The village is situated on the marble basement surrounded by Quaternary volcanics. The Gölde village used to be inhabitant by Greeks until the 20th century. Beside its historical and cultural significance, it is possible to see the strong influence of karstic lithology on rural architectural style. Gölde village is just 5km to Kula Town.
